I think most women feel a bit bloaty, or maybe I should say ‘puffy’ around the abdomen, in the week before they are due to menstruate … of course this time, there’s been no relief for me!!
In the first week in which I was confirmed pregnant (baby would have been in its 2nd week of development, and I was in my 4th week of pregnancy) I could feel that clothes were starting to squeeze my midsection.
Three weeks down the line, and there was no escaping it:
I needed clothes that would grow with me.
I got a few tops to make up for the lack of shirts that I’ll be able to wear, and some title-featured elasticated waistlines.
I swear they’re the most comfortable garments I’ve ever worn.
I took a side photo yesterday to pair with the ‘before’ photograph I took several weeks ago. There’s quite a marked difference … although a lot of it must be attributed to the effect of the relaxin hormone (which softens the abdomen), and the advised lack of abdominal exercises.
