I found an angel!! Well – actually, she found me.
I had blog comment from a lady in Canfield who found me when searching for other Youngstown-area homebirthers. (You can read her comment under my post ‘Rock-a-bye Baby’
Maria is on her 5th non-hospital birth (due in 2 weeks or so), is a certified doula and birthing educator, is a student midwife, thinks the same way I do about medicine/doctors, seems to hold at least some of the same life-outlooks that I do, AND offered to sit through my birthing as my hand-holder!!
I met up with Maria at the lovely Peaberry’s Café in Canfield for a hot beverage on Sunday afternoon.
How refreshing when, after years of ‘doing unto others’, someone ‘does unto you’!!! 😛
