Waiting

There’s going to be a lot of waiting over the next months.
I really should start getting used to it.

I’ve been looking at other womens’ BBT charts to see if my temperature will give me a clue if a fertilized egg has successfully implanted in my womb.
I see that, though not in all cases, many charts show a quick dip in temperature when implantation occurs. This occurs, on average, 6-12 days after fertilization.

Progress of the newly fertilized egg through the fallopian tube.

I also read that chances of miscarriage rise the longer it takes the egg to implant.
While there’s only a 13% chance of mscarriage by day 9, it rises to 26% on day 10, 52% on day 11, and 86% on day 12 or more.

It will be interesting to watch what happens.
As I read on one website ‘they have instant coffee … they have instant messaging … why can’t they have instant pregnancy tests?’

I can’t wait to get a result.
