It’s about 1/16th of an inch.
Three layers are developing, which will later make up all of the baby’s organs and tissues.
The heart, brain, spinal cord, muscle and bones are beginning to develop, along with the placenta, which will nourish the baby, and the amniotic sac, which provides a warm and safe environment where the baby can move easily.
