Week 4

Actually, this is only the first week that I’ve known that I’m pregnant, and the end of the second week since conception … but because doctors count the first week of my last period as being week 1, this ends up being the end of week 4. Go figure.

Of course, this means that if a person has a longer menstrual cycle than ‘normal’, and don’t ovulate on the ‘normal’ day 14, they end up having a longer so-called pregnancy than ‘normal’ people… riiiiiiiiiight … really logical.

I typically have a 32-33 day cycle … my cycle started on May 1st, and I ovulated on day 18/18th of May.
If you go by my due date, and try to make it conform to a 40-week pregnancy from the last period, this is week 4. If you go from the date of my last period, this is actually week 4.5 … ugh … so messy.

Can we just leave it that I’m due on February 8th??
